Traditions

Easter is approaching, a time full of tradition. Mallorcan gastronomy is enriched with culinary recipes that have been passed down from generation to generation.

The three most popular dishes at this time of year are "panada", "robiol" and "crespells". Families usually get together to make them at this time of year, which is why we are so fond of them. However, these delicious delicacies can be found in any bakery in Mallorca, so that those who visit the island do not miss out on this unique experience.

Panada" is a round savoury pastry traditionally filled with lamb meat, peas and sobrassada. But there are a multitude of options: from fish to just vegetables.

The "robiol" is a sweet pastry in the shape of a half moon that can be filled with jam, cream, chocolate...

Crespells" are sweet pastries in a wide variety of shapes. These pastries are usually made with the help of the youngest members of the family.

If you haven't had the chance to try them, visit Mallorca!
